About AMBC


The AMBC was established in 1987 with the goal of fostering, supporting and promoting business, investment and cultural opportunities between Australia and Malaysia, reinforcing the 50+ year relationship between the two countries that has grown and matured dramatically from one of support in the early years of Malaysia’s foundation to one of close collaboration and comprehensive partnership today.

With a diverse membership of over 1000 members, encompassing all Australian states and territories, the AMBC represents the interests of both large and small businesses and provides a effective platform for members to identify business opportunities in Malaysia, develop useful long-term contacts and interfaces with the Malaysian Government and its trade facilitation departments and organisations.

As well as supporting businesses to expand into Malaysia, the AMBC and its’ State Chapters have an active program of events, trade delegations, seminars and conferences to connect like minded individuals and businesses with appropriate government liaisons and departments and Malaysian Businesses as well as providing social and networking opportunities.

In addition, the AMBC with the support of DFAT and AUSTRADE, regularly commission research and analysis of business, trade and investment conditions and this research is made available to members through the AMBC website, events and publications.

The AMBC has a close relationship with the sister organisation the Malaysian Australia Business Council MABC.
